Ambient Temperature

The temperature in the space/environment in which you are roasting. Ambient temperature is an important variable for determining how a roaster will react to heat on a given day. If the ambient temperature is significantly cold, it might require more energy to roast the coffee. If the ambient temperature is exceedingly hot, the roast may take off faster than expected. Knowing ambient temperature gives a roaster an idea of how a roaster might react in that moment.
