Off-Gassing

Off-gassing is the process of releasing carbon dioxide (CO2) and other gasses from the coffee beans that build up during the roasting process

Also referred to as “degassing,” off-gassing is the process of releasing carbon dioxide (CO2) and other gasses from the coffee beans that build up during the roasting process. The aim is to let coffee rest and allow for water to properly extract soluable flavors.
